FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS

WHY DON'T WE ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Oh man. We wish managed care would consider making changes to their current operating system. We wish that they would allow us to recommend and provide the appropriate level of care that we know will ensure successful outcomes. Instead, they dictate how long and how often you can receive treatment, thereby minimizing the opportunity for true change. All that being said, we are able to provide you with the information needed to seek reimbursement from your plan after the fact. It’s important to note that insurance doesn’t typically cover the whole cost of individual or group session packages as many elements of our programming are essential to success but, unfortunately, not recognized as “medically necessary” by insurance.

DO YOU ALWAYS BRING YOUR DOG(S) TO THE OFFICE?

I wish! But no, not all the time. Sometimes either Huckleberry or Florence (seen above) join me for the day, but not always. For the days that one of them is with me, please note their many nicknames.

Florence: Flo-Flo, Flobot, Flobag, or just plain old Flo.

Huckleberry: Hucklebug, Huck, Hucky, Huckle-ly Bug

IS IT POSSIBLE TO MEET REMOTELY?

Absolutely! If at all possible, we like to have the first visit in-person, but it that isn't possible, we're flexible.

MY STUDENT IS IN HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE, HOW DO YOU DECIDE HOW MUCH SUPPORT TO PROVIDE?
(i.e. Which tier should we sign up for?)

This is a team decision. As we consider the options, we take into account each member's input regarding strengths, challenges, and self-awareness with regards to executive functions and academic needs. We ask hard questions and look for honest answers so that we can place you appropriately. If, at any time, it seems as though you might need more or less support, we can make package changes to reflect your needs.
